09/13 - Tarsier Thursday!

I just did a Croma Lab HIT, and now I'm worried I did it wrong. I thought I followed everything exactly, but $1.80 for about 4 minutes seems generous for mturk. Maybe they just pay really well? Did anyone else do the Audio/Visual Annotation HIT?
Edit: I thought when I hit submit that another section would come up to work with. That's really what I'm trying to figure out. Was it really just 1 segment?

I haven't done the hit. But earning $27/hour doesn't necessarily mean you did something wrong. It may just mean you're getting paid a decent wage for work.

That's what I'm hoping for. It's just so uncommon now that it made me a bit worried!

Chroma Labs are hit or miss. I used to have them on a watcher because I thought they were all well paid. Then they had a batch that were garbage. So, yeah, they pay well a lot of times. Sometimes the HITs aren't well written, though, and the pay is much less fair.

EDIT Never had a problem with them rejecting though.

That's great to hear, thanks! I read and watched the instructions (twice), and was prepared for them to throw more than just a 30-second clip at me. I guess the ease and quickness of it all just took me by surprise.

Sometimes they're longer and/or will only work under specific browser conditions, which can slow things down. Good luck.
