That would make it personal indeed! And I agree: demonic, and unadulterated evil. Mel Brooks being Jewish really makes me appreciate his satirization of this; some things are so bad if you don't laugh you cry. And I think it helps people cope to be able to laugh at the bad guys being portrayed as silly idiots.It's kinda a personal thing with me. My Dad fought those assholes during WWII from the bombardiers plexiglass of a B-17, the first book he ever gave me was on Herr Hitler, and I've been something of a student of that war ever since: it *was* a unique war because they really *were* demonic; unadulterated evil. And you have no responsibility for my being a bit uncomfortable.
