okay, too strange. I read the thread title as whiskey, not whiskery. So, I searched for homemade whiskey to post. I watched one video, decided it was too much, and found this, came to post, and THEN read your post

ive worked in 2 restaurants and had to make ranch for both it is buttermilk, mayo and premade seasoning packets that is admittedly restaurant ranch their could be other recipes.
the spoiled milk use is more of a home hack than a restaurant one. If you don't have spoiled milk or buttermilk, just put a little lemon juice in regular milk.
One of the owners of the first restaurant I worked at was full of hacks like this. I learned so much from him.

And sometimes I miss owning a restaurant. Then I wake up from my nightmare.

Looks like I could use yogurt instead of mayo (I don't eat mayo) - for ranch dressing. Think I'll run to the market. I was going to buy some pine nuts anyway. I wanted to make/freeze pesto (lots of basil in the garden). And I also heard (don't throw anything at me.......but some kind of kale pesto. I always have lots of kale!)
