Today was a good day overall but I'm done for now unless HITNotifier warns me of something decent. Going to finish watching another Hell on Wheels episode.

Recently, I received a couple of reviews on Turkopticon accusing me of promising "random" bonuses and not paying
out. I feel this is an unfair accusation and we feel that we have been more than generous with bonuses to Mturk users. Since Turkopticon is out there, please consider leaving feedback on Turkopticon about your experience. It really does help give us incentive to give out more bonuses, and more generous bonuses.

Unfortunately, the ratio of bonuses we paid out to workers compared to
the feedback we received on Turkopticon is unfairly proportioned. It
seems workers only feel compelled to leave feedback on Turkopticon if
they feel they have been unfairly treated with a rejection or did not
receive a bonus they felt they should have received. Or they want to
complain about the pay rate, AFTER they have already completed the hit
and before bothering to contact the requester. As stated in the hits,
bonuses are random (unless otherwise stated) and we do not give
bonuses to everyone who completes our hits. The amount of the bonus is also random. If could be from a couple of cents all the way up to the
highest bonus -- $5.00)

We also feel that we have been more than
generous with rejection reversals. We reverse rejections by the
hundreds. As requestors, we have no way of withholding pay to workers
when a hit is accepted. So when a hit rejection is reversed, it is
automatically paid to the worker. When we reverse hundreds of
rejections, many of which have skipped questions or provided no data
whatsoever -- yet still demanded that we reverse the rejections even
though it was their mistake (they did not heed directions in the hit)
--this adds up to quite a bit of money out of our pockets.

We do not want negative feedback on Turkopticon to cause workers to
second guess about working on any of our hits. Your work is valued and appreciated! Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have about any of our hits. And again, if you would like to be provided a screenshot of the work you submitted to us, please reply.
