Last couple of years here we've had decent snowfall.. Three or four years ago we had multiple snowfalls over a foot, which is really unusual for Kentucky, along with windchills in the negatives(It sucks starting your vehicle up at 4am when it's -14F outside and you're not used to it). I remember one year of high school we missed at least one day a week for the first two months back from Christmas break, due to ice/snow.

I'm pretty sure they've also increased the days of required attendance across the nation thinking that will solve the kids are dumb problems we have. It's a combination of a lot of things but the vacations are longer during the year and I think it's slowly moving into a year round approach as opposed to the big breaks.

remember that failure isn't necessarily a bad thing
only losers see failure as bad. because it means they lost.
and it sometimes scares them into not trying at all.
a successful person, on the other hand, will see failure as a learning opportunity
you don't learn how to do something by getting it right the first time, every time.
you learn how to do something by figuring out what NOT to do
and by doing that, you also improve the process

The fact that I made it through the night indicates curse failure. I'm not smug about it, I'm hoping the curse didn't get distracted at someone else's house. Maybe my house skeleton scared it off.
