Houston is growing rapidly. In a ton of areas. It's crazy. You can't find a decent one bdrm for less than $700/month. Looking at prices elsewhere this morning... from the $400s to to $600s... I could easily afford that and still have a lot leftover to save and reward myself with.

I love Houston. Always have. I love hanging out at certain spots. I love the sports teams. I love tex mex. Just the living price is high for where I'm at finacially rn. I could always sign a short lease somewhere else in the country just to see how I like living there

You can always find someone who has a room available in their house. I use to rent out a room for 500 dollars a month (utilities included for free). Of course you have to live with a couple strangers.

If you like it then make up your mind to earn more. I miss it even though I left because the heat actually makes my back hurt more and the cold makes it hurt less. I think it's because I grew up in an area that actually has winter. But I miss everyone. And all the action. And the walmart on every corner and the HEB Market. And the GalleriA which you won't find elsewhere with all the mall closings. I'd say look in Conroe but that is now considered The Woodlands I think and it's gotten pricey. There's always Humble I suppose. Sheldon's home is around Cypresswood somewhere I think or actually the actor's family home. But dang I miss that HEB.
