You have completed a survey on Amazon MTurk which was related to a psychology research project at the University of Glasgow. I would like to apologise for the time it took me to reply to your inquiry and thank you for the patience. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience my actions may have caused you. I have got in contact with the Amazon Mturk Team and will make sure you get the reimbursement promised for your work and I will ensure your rating on the website are fixed.

The survey you competed was part of my undergraduate course. This is my first time using the Amazon MTurk platform and my lack of experience led me to make some bad decisions which unfortunately affected many people. I hope you understand that it was not in my intention to take advantage of anybody’s work, time or money.

The decision to reject so many workers was based on poor judgement on my side and the expectation for longer completion times by participants. Unfortunately, I failed to take in consideration the experience of workers on the platform and the fact some people may simply be faster readers than others. Underestimating people’s work led me to believe the data was invalid and unusable for our project.

I apologise once again you had to wait so long to hear back from me, but I found it best to first discuss the issue with my supervisors in order to best resolve the issue.
