Up until this week I felt like things were pretty dire on MTurk but at least still somewhat consistent for me. This week feels like it's gone off the cliff in comparison. I was thinking about holding off on Connect because of the payment issues, but MTurk has been too slow these past few days so I've nixed that idea. Eventually Connect will sort out the payment issue with PayPal.

I've spent the morning firing off emails to local newspapers, lol. When I first moved here, I volunteered at a human service agency. I was safe - but I knew the place was not. In fact, I thought it was a profoundly UNSAFE place (I've worked in lots of unsafe places, so - really, I know. And told people it wasn't safe). Anyhoo, a staff person was killed yesterday. Totally gruesome. Young woman. She ran the shelter. Just unreal how it went down

(edit - I don't want to be in the paper. I want them to investigate staffing levels and the like. And why shelter clients are allowed to have. Shall I say it? jfc axes!)

The new tax laws in the eu and uk are gumming up the works. Every site I work on pays paypal and its been an issue on all of them at one point or another since the new year. It hasn't taken this long to sort out with any of the others but I'm sure they'll have it figured out soon. It should be safe to cash out any other site besides connect. I haven't had any other problems cashing out with any other sites in the last several days. cashed out prolific earlier with no problem
