Well, let's see, so far when grocery shopping and just taking a walk I've seen latex gloves thrown on the ground. The winner was yesterday though, while on a walk we say a face mask -- in a ziplock bag on the sidelock. Okay. And this in a neighborhood where I'm used to seeing used condoms thrown around.

Interesting aside for those who might need this: TheTurbanProject.com has free patterns--including how to make FACE MASKS. There is also a tutorial...If you are not old enough to know, hospital gear, including face masks were always made of cloth. They could be washed, or more likely, auto-claved to be sterile. Such things were not made of paper and plastic to be used once and thrown away. Cloth items, metal instruments, and even bandages and sponges were all wrapped in cloth, taped firmly as a package and sterilized in an autoclave. And for those living in a hole in the ground(which might be a good idea just now), an autoclave is/was a fancy pressure cooker with a door, like a cupboard. All hospitals had them.
Thanks for this.

Here's a March 20, 2020, article from Forbes with additional face mask patterns and suggested materials.

ugh, my cat tried to jump on the counter yesterday and failed. she managed to break my favorite cup and the Brita pitcher in the process. naturally the Brita pitcher is out of stock everywhere because of the coronavirus.

Cleaning with vinegar doesn't have to mean killing a virus. But being clean. I'm not weakening my immune system by overdoing clorox and if I'm really concerned about the vinegar I'll add essential oils. Some of those will know out most anything. Of course my dad would get very ill on occasion and once in a while sneak down to the basement when mom wasn't looking and down a tablespoon of kerosene. And it always worked. But I wouldn't recommend it.

On another note - anyone notice that Aldi has begun filling their water bottles to the rim? I noticed it and compared with Kroger bottles which aren't fill to the rim. Yeah Aldi.
