ok but @aveline posted that on Dec 8, 2017 so shouldn't the "January" winner be for the month of December then? shouldn't we have had a vote a couple days after the new year?

I thought since HIT posters were included in the Crowd Pleaser of the Year voting, that was the reason there was no individual HIT poster award for the month.

yes, @TotalBabe is 100% correct. In January, all 2017 HIT poster and Crowd Pleaser winners were eligible for Crowd Pleaser of the Year. As such, we didn't run individual awards this month (for Dec).
