Looking for 1st mechanical keyboard

My current Logitech G19 is all types of messed up. For starters, the CAPS lock key is jammed and doesn't work half the time. Also realized I don't need a keyboard with an LCD screen. I don't think I've ever looked at it. I'm looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard, in the hopes that it'll help me type faster. My only requirements:
1) Must have programmable keys.
2) Must be backlit.

That's about it. Any ideas on a reliable keyboard?

I'm a big fan of the Razor Blackwidow http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IG3GSQ8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage .

The ultimate edition is backlit, only green though if you want multi colored you can get the chroma, and fully programmable keys. Fully programmable is one of the best features in my view. Also has a row of 5 non standard buttons that can be programmed. Programming is relatively easy using their software and their software works for both their keyboards and mice if you choose to get a mouse from them also.

my camera sucks.... the backlight brightness can be adjusted, which is nice.
the wasd and arrow brightness can be changed independently too.

I can't recommend you specific keyboards, but it's a very good idea to check Slickdeals.com and r/buildapcsales when you're looking for computer-related stuff. Make a habit of checking them every day, you'll save a ton of money that way, and in the comments people will usually share their experiences with the product and if it's worth buying or not.
Just as an example, this is for sale right now: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/45nil0/keyboard_monoprice_blue_switch_fullsized_keyboard/

If you're on a (somewhat) tight budget, I like the quickfire ones. I had a quickfire storm XT with blues for about two years before I spilled a beer on it http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-XT-Mechanical/dp/B00DKXXABK

now im using the TK one with mx browns http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00A378L4C

(I liked the mx blues wayy more than the browns, but they were really loud and drove my gf nuts)

I used the camelcamelcamel.com extension and got it at the lowest price :D

other than that there are always the pok3r, ultimate hacking keyboard (coming out soon), etc.

....and just realized you said you wanted programmable keys....
maybe something like the logitech that others mentioned would be good >_>
