I've been on a Bitcoin kick here lately. Here's another decent way to get some for free.

BitcoinGet

Stupid name, but its a crap ton better than using faucets. You actually earn by doing work through Crowd Flower. It sometimes takes a bit to find a decent task or survey, but there is always stuff to work on. Below is a screenshot of my last two days of work, which has already paid:

Again, you're not going to get rich, but if you are just looking to play around and/or get started with Bitcoin this is one of the best ways to get in for free.

it fluctuates, which is the beauty of it right now, but 5000 bits, which is 500000 satoshi, is about $3.34

Thanks for the idea. I don't see the point of this from a time standpoint. 5000 satoshi is only $0.03 currently. Most of the surveys etc are paying out maybe 500 bits each at roughly 20 minutes each. So 1 hour of steady work nets you a whole $0.99 if you are lucky.

I have yet to do a 20 min survey and the tasks/batch type work are actually better. Yes, if you're looking to min/max and make a living at this then it won't be for you. If you are interested in Bitcoin and want to get started without an out of pocket expense then this is a good way to do that.

Even if you aren't looking to make a living, it would seem there are much better paying options available. For example, with MintVine you can very easily generate $5 daily, cash out with PayPal, then use your PayPal to buy a larger amount of BTC from coinbase. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you and I don't mean for this to come off as snide or condescending, I just can't find any value in this method. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
