Hi,
We are working on a research project on crowd sourcing at the Stanford Crowdresearch Project.
Our goal is to develop a system which will provide more benefits to workers and requesters than the currently existing systems.

We need 15-20 requesters for our latest study. Further instructions and details will be provided by email to you.

If you are interested to participate in our study then please send me/us a private message or an email: daemo@cs.stanford.edu

Welcome!

I don't think many requesters go to the office and immediately assign themselves several unique HITs to code within three hours.

I returned a $20 HIT yesterday, because it had "too much spaghetti in one strand."

Title: Design MTurk Tasks as a requester | PANDA
Requester: Stanford HCI [A2OBPXCZ1Q3PFU] (TO)
TO Ratings:

☢☢☢☢☢ 5.00 Communicativity
☢☢☢☢☢ 4.37 Generosity
☢☢☢☢☢ 5.00 Fairness
☢☢☢☢☢ 4.95 Promptness
Number of Reviews: 30
(Submit a new TO rating for this requester)

Description: Please write MTurk tasks using given instructions
Time: 3 hours
Hits Available: 1
Reward: $20.00
Qualifications: Durim-requesters has been granted

The HIT had a three-hour timer, the same as some of Stanford's very small surveys.
It required coding the requester HTML for several AMT HITs.

It's entirely possible that one might have completed the tasks within the three-hour limit -- as long as one didn't have any asynchronous telephone calls, need to get kids off to school, or empty grandma's bedpan.
If timing for a task is to be tightly constrained, I require a larger margin of safety. :p

If similar HITs are contemplated in the future, I hope you'll consider expanding the allowable time window. :)

I have explored this project and must also decline. While writing the html would be quick and easy, designing the task and instructions to achieve the expected study outcomes would require careful consideration and deliberation. I would anticipate the 4 tasks would take a least an hour each. $20 compensation would be minimal for 1 of these tasks, not all 4.
