Hi MTurkers,

I have created a small hit $5 x (5) for "Vehicle Video Creation" the job is to create a short 30-second video highlighting some information (in this case, the fuze box location) on any vehicle newer than 2000.

The goal of this hit is just a test to see the quality of mturker's videos. The long-term goal is to collect informational pieces on vehicles from all around the world. Ideally, we can get a few turkers that are able to go around to new/used car lots OR to junkyards and film these types of videos on all the cars they have available to them.

I'd like to know:
Are the requirements clear and understandable?
Are workers interested in this specific type of work where they have to film something in the "real world"?
Is there anything I can change to make the hit more appealing / easier / more re-producible for a turker wanting to film 10+ videos?

I would wait for some of the results to come back. Seeing as the HIT has a longer timer, and the HIT pays < 10$ to go outside, I am unsure how long it will take you to get quality results. However, there have been many requesters in the past who pay for videos something like you describe, I'll try to pull them up.

The easiest way to get work completed is to provide clear instructions for what you're looking for and how to submit the videos. Ideally, you will find individual workers who you can communicate to directly, and they will be able to follow the instructions you provide.

If you find somebody who produces a high quality video and you think they would be great for future tasks, do two things.

Assign that worker a qualification: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSMechTurk/latest/RequesterUI/AssigningaQualificationTypetoaWorker.html

"Car Video Worker exists" You can use this qual to assign specific workers work in the future.

Then

Send them a bonus or a message and explain what you're looking for in terms of future work. Ask them to respond in order to get in touch with you and see if they are capable of getting you the content you need.

I don't have a copy of what your HIT looks like originally, I'll try to ask around for it though.
