Good morning.
I'm up to $7.00 so far. I can finally afford that Burger King value meal I've had my eye on for a while. Who knows? By the end of the day, I may be able to afford to rent a movie from RedBox as well.
#followyourdreams
congrats :)

I'm at $2 ... it's going... ok. I saw some 80c pinterest hits go by that I would like to catch.

Kicked me out at the END saying I was using a VPN. I don't have VPN and I'm in the US. waste of time:angry2:
Others on TO report the same problem. Something is wrong on their end.

Damn. I took the ASU hit, where I had to transcribe 40 short recordings. An easy $1.50. But the first recording, right out the gate, was so inaudible, I could have listened to it 100 times and still had no clue as to what he was saying. The kicker was, you could only play the recording twice. I had to return it. I think the requester only created that HIT, just to play with people's emotions. I wish I knew how to leave a gif on this site, because it would definitely be an angry one.

I had the same thing happen to me, with the exact same HIT! The weird thing is, it still gave me my HIT completion code at the end, right after telling me that I don't qualify and that I'm not in the US, or that I have a VPN. If Louisiana doesn't qualify as "living in the US", I don't know what does.

Same, same here. I submitted expecting a rejection.

Damn. I've had 7, and I've barely been doing this for three weeks. But I didn't know that if time ran out, that you would catch a rejection. Happened to me three times. A couple, I forgot to return and exited out. My computer froze during one. And just yesterday, I did a HIT that was specifically for other people.

You all must have done your mturk homework, before starting. I've always been a shoot first, ask questions later kind of guy. Not literally, of course. One thing mturk has me doing that I usually never do, and that's read the HITs very carefully, to keep from being tricked. They are very sneaky. I understand why, though. A lot of people would sooner just randomly click their responses, and not read a single word. I was once one of those people, but I'm a reader now. I've seen the light.

Speed reading is a valuable skill.

You don't get rejected if time runs out.

You don't? Really? Where did I get these gd rejections from? Also, I bailed on a $4.00 hit yesterday, because I only had about 30 seconds left, and miles to go before I sleep. No, that's not right. I had at least two more pages to go. Sorry, I haven't 40 in over slept hours.

As Kliq @Kliq stated, no rejects for expired HITs.

Reading is key but you will only get faster with it. Mostly the "ATs", you will get used to seeing the same structure and be able to pick them out very fast. Also, keep a notepad open, CTRL+V and CTRL+C are my best friends :)

Other than that, Mturk was a different beast years ago. When you could just set a Zing PANDA (old school name drop) and just do pennies all.......day........long..... :) I can't tell you the thousands I've done of the same receipts. Probably got 1/4 of my numbers just from them :) Not like that anymore tho, now you gotta hustle for your numbers.

Anyways, thanks! I've kept my rating good for a reason. Now I can HAM the S out of a batch and not give a flying ____, but I still do give a flying ____ :)
