Pecan pie is the best. I tilt my fork at ya as I eat my completely traditional snack of hummus with corn chips shaped like the state of Texas.

Moring, turkers. I ate myself into oblivion yesterday with our spectacular Christmas supper, crashed at 6:30 PM and now I'm wide awake after sleeping 9 hours.

Made a lobster newburg for Dad. My nana (his mother) used to make that every Christmas Eve and it made him feel really good. I have a fatal allergy to lobster/crab/shrimp so I let him handle the lobster parts...

Have you ever cooked a turkey in the slow cooker? If you have a large oval shaped slow cooker and a smallish bird, all you have to do is put it in the highest setting and add a little olive oil, salt, pepper, and some herbs if you prefer. Cook to an internal temp of 180°F. Will yield the juiciest turkey ever, not a dry part of it. We buy the "restaurant style" breasts when they are on sale at $0.88/lb at the supermarket. And it also takes care of the problem if the bird might still be frozen a bit in the middle. Chuck it in a broiler pan for a few mins. if you prefer crispy skin.

Dad puttered making cookies yesterday, and today I'm baking a fresh loaf of homemade artisan bread and churning some homemade vanilla rum ice cream for gifts for our adopted family down the island.

Good morning! Merry Christmas! :)

got a breakfast casserole in the oven, coffee in hand, and waiting for the kiddos to get up :santa:
Merry Christmas to everyone. Just making canned cinnamon rolls. But I do have my mocha cappuccino since 7-Eleven is open. So glad someone got the energy I used to have.

Good morning all! Not sure if I'm up for good or what but, saying hello. Y'all are going to be my human contact for the day.:) So, Merry Christmas, I hope everyone has fun with whatever they have planned. I wish I were there(wherever). Try not to stress. You can do that tomorrow. If you don't get what you want, I hope you have what you need. Just be happy, safe and warm! Happy Tuesday, to all my secular friends.

PS Thanks everyone, for being there for me, as a group, and on the other 364, I'll be there for you. Not in a bad mood. Just trying to remain indifferent which should be fine. But, today may be light on mentorship. If it's really important, tag me by name and I'll do my best. Gonna go get my head right, drink the coffee I bought 3 hours ago for when I woke and watch an episode of Midsomer Murders to relax. Back in a bit!:weed::tmnt::tinfoil::coffee2::shrug:
