No Completion Code

Hi I have had this happen as well...its annoying.

For a while, I just put "No Code" in the MTurk page box, but I got a rejection once for doing that. So, now I just report them - every single time! - and return the hit. Safer that way.

I enter my mturk ID, and contact the requester letting them know what happened. To cover my bases. You've done the work. You should get paid for it.

I agree - I should get paid for it - but the requester who dinged me wouldn't even reply to my inquiry. For me, I've got to get a whole lot more hits under my belt to have it not matter if that happens again. When I get up to 10K, I will probably revise my stance on it. 4,000 to go!

Having been a seller on Amazon for 10 years, I'm not surprised. That seems to be the case across the board with AMZ.
But I appreciate your input, and will save myself the time from here on out!

Very rarely (as in once) have I ever seen them get involved. And that was because THEY were about to lose a lot of money. I'm certain they have intervened more than once.......but not that much more

I agree that holding off makes sense for people who are fairly new and don't have a lot of room for rejections, or might be doing dodgy requesters. But I don't think I have ever been rejected when the survey didn't give a code. Now I usually just write something like "no code" and add my ID. But I also take a screenshot of the final survey page and save it with a name I'll recognize. I find Fireshot works well for webpage screenshots.
