Just heard back from HLP Lab. You guys who caught that HIT at $5 are lucky!

I have to say, I am still not super pleased with the response, but it could have been worse.

"The HIT today should not have been listed at $5. It was a typo from
our end, and I apologize for that. There were very few HITs that were
uploaded at this price, and in the future, this task will pay out
exactly the same that you were paid before.

Like you suggested, we do make sure to pay our workers the same amount
for the same task. We time people performing our tasks, and price out
HIT based on the average amount of time taken to ensure that we are
paying for our tasks uniformly. We do aim to be as fair as possible in
our payment. In our estimates, this task takes participants an average
of 8 minutes to finish.

I hope you understand, and sorry again for the mistake."

"We are sorry that we actually paid a livable wage for a task. Obviously this was a huge mistake on our part and we will go back to paying you in belly button lint and empty peanut shells as soon as possible. We apologize for any false hope this may have gave you"

I have a note taped to my laptop, "Check PC for Pause!!!" because I might, or might not, forget it is paused often.

I did a "test" the waters HIT for an R and forgot to check TO. Checked TO and he has 2 reviews...both of which say he rejected with a response of "x" as feedback.

Guess I await my damn effing rejection now. :banghead:
