Requesters are able to respond when we send a message through the mturk contact system right? I thought I read somewhere that it had been an issue before? I haven't been getting any responses from requesters lately and aren't sure if they're just not responding or they can't.

They can reply as far as I know. I received a reply today. There have been a few problems with different methods workers use to send messages to requesters not working, but the replies FROM them have been fine, AFAIK, assuming they decide to reply.

I would. I'd also call Amazon Payments tomorrow. Unlike MTurk, they actually answer the phone over there and have been pretty helpful in the past.
