No, I turk on a laptop in a dark hole tethered to my phone. MTS is basically all I use right now. I have an old include list that I've grown over the years tho, just add to yours as you find requesters that you like. Also find a good setting for yourself for finding surveys, if you do do surveys.

Honestly everyone has a different style of turking and the "real" answer is finding stuff you can tolerate. I mainly just run hit scraper and I do everything that's over 70 cents (with a TO that doesn't mention rejections or blocks) that I catch and has a reasonable projected time and I make at least $15 a day unless I'm being lazy. Also depends on how long you're online too.

Things change a LOT on MTurk, though, with projects constantly coming and going as a requester finishes up their project. Because of this, it's hard to maintain any kind of long term or stable list of good HITs. What might be great today could very well likely be completely done and gone tomorrow.

It just went down recently. My last found was 5:57. Just refreshed and now it won't load (it's 6:20 here...I was doing Julian's hits and didn't notice it wasn't working!)

It depends on what you like. I used to just do surveys but found I like certain batches. We are all different and good at different things, you just have to find what you enjoy the most.

There is a pretty steep learning curve with mTurk so it's going to be a bit frustrating for just about anyone starting out. I would really watch out for what people are talking about on the forum. You can learn a lot that way. If someone mentions a new qualification, try to do the qualification HITs for it if you can. You never know what that'll lead to.

Honestly, you probably just need some good old-fashioned experience which will take a little bit of time. Things will get easier as you go along.

Your refresh rate will depend a lot on what else you have refreshing mturk. Be sure and block requesters that you know you will never work for, this will slowly make your results easier to manage.
