still trying to find my earthbound cart. i feel like i put it somewhere for safekeeping and then instantly lost it to zombies or something
Had I known then what I know now, I would have bought out every Earthbound cart gathering dust at the time when movie rental stores started going belly up. I remember a time when *nobody* cared about that game.

its an investment, imo

for some its an expensive hobby, but there's been quite a retro gaming boom in the last few years, that will probably grow as people my age get more disposable income

that being said, the market itself is kind of hard to judge and sometimes makes little to no sense (like Dinosaur Peak or Samson being collector's items)
I can fully understand. But for me, I was able to manhandle the stuff when it was in it's prime, and I'm content to indulge in any feelings of nostalgia through roms. :angelic:

Yea it's insane how much the prices have gone up on older games in the last few years.
I'm picking the perfect time to sell off my crap.....it's basically going to pay for all the baby stuff....and house repairs....and I'm going to be able to put a good chunk in savings too.

Though at the same time it makes me sad that I only own a fraction of what I used to.
Could be able to afford a small island with the shit I used to have.
i'm going to invest all of my profits from selling this on bitcoin.
it's like I always say, sell all your bitcoin when it's priced at $220, buy back when it's over $2k

be careful of these. if you've already done one tedlab you won't get paid for others showing up even though they're all ranking different things. read the instructions in the hit/.
Yeah I blew it and did two. Guess I'll be getting a rejection.

well, good luck to you.
I used to buy games, mostly rpgs, clean them, install new batteries, and resell, usually as packages.
I did it for about two years before I got my ex pregnant.
she wanted me to sell everything to help us afford stuff.. but I explained that several hundred dollars doesn't honestly amount to much.
she said, whatever, sell it all.
so I did. and she sold her stuff too.
for years, she berated me about how she sold her favorite musical cds, for mere dollars
I could never buy them again for her, because I don't listen to music, I don't understand it, and I don't know what she sold.
I liked many of the games, but even though I'd like to own them now, I'd never get around to playing them.
she played just as much as I did, actually now that I think about it
I put probably more than ten thousand hours into Disgaea, and that was around the end of my gaming era
several weeks ago I bought dragon quest VIII for android/mobile - it's fairly good, but I've only put like 5 or 6 hours into it.
I just don't have the time... and ... they all bore me now

I sold my entire collection except for chrono trigger about a year ago because I figured the bubble was going to burst

I was wrong

I don't give a shit about playing them for nostalgia on a real system, and neither do collectors, though

i emailed 'em. it's not fair to run surveys about completely different things and allow only one. they should've been batched. we'll see what answer i get.

SNES controllers were awful. They cramped up my hands something fierce. But this guy solved all my problems:

My dog chewed through the wire on that sometime between 1996-1997.
Still salty about it.
