So, I keep waiting around for someone to maybe make this thread.. But, it's been like a month now, so. I guess I'll just do it. Geez.

Who plays games? (Video OR board games, I'm an equal opportunity gamer!) What are you playing right now? What are you hyped for? Got anything on pre-order?

Mobile

I don't have nearly as much time as I used to either, but I have a semi-decent (though, small compared to some, I'm sure) Steam library. We also have a PS3, but it's just a Netflix machine currently. Only game I have for it right now is Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD. And that's still shrink wrapped because I haven't had time.

For PC, I'm a big Blizzard fan. I've played a lot of WoW (though never hardcore. I can't manage the stress of raids and end-game content, so I'm usually just behind), though my sub is inactive til they announce a date for the new expac. I've played A LOT of Diablo 3, especially since RoS dropped, but I've been kinda burnt out on it lately. So, I turned to my Steam library with its many unplayed games. I just finished Telltale Game's Puzzle Agent last night (pretty short, but fun) and will probably start the second one tonight. I've been playing a lot of Cook, Serve, Delicious! lately, too. I'm big into RPGs (though, WoW has been my only long-time MMO, despite trying out FFXIV & Wildstar), point-and-click adventure games (super excited to start the new King's Quest eventually), strategy (I get really into Civ5/Beyond Earth every so often and just go ham for a really long time then take a long break), and some casual stuff (I have the PopCap collection... like the entire thing).

On my phone, I have Puzzle & Dragons, Griddlers (Picross!!), DragonVale, Alphabear, and Triple Town. I rarely play Triple Town anymore, so it'll probably get uninstalled soon. Alphabear, I play maybe once a weekish, but the others I currently play a bit daily. Kiddo is still in the "Hold me while I sleep" stage, sometimes, so.. I need to keep myself occupied or I risk falling asleep in a v. uncomfortable position on the couch. ;_;

I used to have a 3DS, but we sold it for some money for bills a while back, so I'm hoping to replace it with an n3DSXL eventually. I'm big into Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Fire Emblem there. :D

I play both video AND board games. A lot.

In terms of board games, outside your traditional family board game night type stuff like Monopoly, I am a huge fan of Pandemic. I started a game of Pandemic Legacy months ago, but haven't played in a while. But we still play just regular Pandemic with one of the expansion packs added on.

Video games. Right now I am actively playing Fallout 4, which I have started like 8 times but haven't finished, and Undertale, because people wouldn't shut up about it.

In terms of stuff I play... pretty much everything? The only genre I'm not huge on is turn based RPGs, although I liked final fantasy 12 (which I guess was the least turn based of those games?). I enjoyed Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, but I don't think I ever finished either of them....there's a pattern here, I think. I'm bad at finishing games. Fallout is my favorite series, although I also enjoy Metal Gear a good deal, I've played every Tomb Raider game except this newest one. I'm incredibly suggestible when it comes to indy games, which is why I have an entire folder of the silly little things on the desktop right now.

I'm mostly a PC person these days. Lately I've been playing Rocket League (even though I suck), Cities Skylines, Borderlands 2, and FIFA/NBA 2k. I'd be down for an MTC Rocket League night at some point if there's any interest.

Fav series of all-time is Final Fantasy, especially X and IX. I've played through FFX an obscene amount of times.

Games of all kinds are big around my house. Let's see...

For mobile I never stick to anything, but right now it's Quest Keeper and Piano Tiles 2

We have an N64 that gets played on every once in a while, mostly Mario Kart and when my husband gets the urge to replay Zelda games every couple of years.

PS2, literally my very first $ from MTurk went to buying Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 to play with my 7 y/o. We finished 1 and are taking a break before starting 2. I've got DragonQuest 8 for it too which I started replaying but then I got pregnant with my now 7 mo old daughter and there went my late nights.

Xbox360 which still gets a lot of play because we're too cheap to upgrade, lol. 7 y/o is all over Minecraft right now but we also like to play The Lego games together. We've earned 100% on a few as a team. I love rpgs mostly but I'll try anything. Heroes of Might and Magic was a good one we all liked. I'm playing Skryrim here and there mostly because I'm sad we can't afford to get Fallout and then also I never really finished it before...

We play a lot of board/card games too, beyond the classic ones we have Smash Up and Forbidden Island - both great games. My 7 y/o is really into The Game of Life right now and I've never won against him, lol.

Griddlers (Picross!!)
OMG love Picross, but can't stand it on mobile. I like to do the really big ones on paper. I used to have a book.... *goes to rummage through stacks of things*

I am a huge fan of Pandemic.
I saw that on Wil Wheaton's YouTube show TableTop and have wanted to try it out. It was designed by the same guy who did Forbidden Island. I have a bunch of games I saw on TableTop on my Amazon wishlist, they all look so fun!

I picked it up on a lark because it sounded sort of interesting. It took me about an hour to figure out the rules and everything, but after that I was hooked. It's really, really fun and it makes your brain hurt because you have to think.

Pandemic was my first board game purchase! I have a whole Amazon wishlist devoted to other games I want to buy. I also own Munchkin, Cards Against Humanity, Love Letter, Masquerade, and Star Fluxx.. as well as other, usual stuff.

I've been interested in checking out some Legacy games, but I have a huge concern about the fact that once you play through it all.. you can't play it again. So.. I'm not sure. We don't have a group of friends to play board games with us right now anyway, but still!

I'd never actually finished a game to completion until recently. And it was Pokemon X two years ago. I've finished a couple since then, of course, but.. yeah. Before that, I'd never finished anything. I've started Skyrim about 6 times. Same with Dragon Age Origins. And both Borderlands. So, I feel you there.

Do you enjoy Cities Skylines? I have it on my Steam wishlist in case it goes on deep sale (I'm a patient gamer now that my gaming time is very little). I love SimCity. I even somewhat enjoyed the most recent one, but didn't love it, so I was very interested when CS came out.

I can't wait until Amelia is old enough to actually play games with us. She likes to watch us play stuff sometimes, but she's still too wee, of course.

I kind of hate Picross on my phone because sometimes, the end columns are right at the edge of the screen. And the blocks are just kind of a pain to tap anyway.. I had a version on DS when I still had my system and it was great on that.

I haven't watched TableTop in forever, but one of my favorite episode was when they played Fiasco. I want a group to play that with so badly!!

Yeahhhh. I didn't want to ruin my legacy kit so I've been keeping it all prestine and using stick notes for stuff. But honestly if they release more season's, the one play through is plenty. My husband and I played and played 2 characters each.

I was kinda in the same boat as you where I had C:S on my wishlist for ages and it'd only drop to $20 or $15 (which wasn't quite as low as I wanted) but then I finally said screw it and pulled the trigger at $15 or something. I'm glad I did it because I love it. It's dangerous though because it's one of those games where I'll start playing and then 5 hours can fly by without realizing it. Haven't played any Sim City in a long time so I can't really say how it compares unfortunately.

I really like how mod-friendly C:S is and there are a lot of customization options on the Steam Workshop. It's so easy to install tons of new buildings or maps or trees or whatever.

Yeah.. might be something I get when I have some extra $$ for Steam stuff, then. I don't really mod a lot of my games, but C:S would probably be one of them.

My brother and I have recently been playing a LOT of Starbound (like Terraria but in space. Or... like Minecraft but 2D and sidescrolling) and husband just bought me Fire Emblem Fates: Birthrite to play on his 3DS. :D :D

world of warcraft was basically my life for 10 years. i've also been into most of the other popular MMOs like rift, wildstar, gw2, swtor etc.
i liked league for a while, then smite, and heroes of the storm.
diablo 3 is fun for a while. i have some random things on steam.
but i have carpal tunnel so my right hand is basically like ow ow ow after 10 minutes.

got into video games again about a year ago. mostly stuff on my phone, candy crush, tetris, solitaire.
then my sister in law gave us her kids' old wii and I tried to get into super Mario like when I was a kid but it doesn't work anymore :(
we have an xbox 360 that my husband hogs on weekends lol. the only game I really play on it is sonic the hedgehog but haven't for a while.

so honestly really just games I can play off facebook like the candy crush stuff.

I can say the same exact thing about EQ 1.
I dabbled in both EQ2 and WoW for a few years. Lost interest in Warcraft quite quickly (so, 3, maybe 4 years? :) ). But kept up with EQ2 for a lot longer because I had great friends there. The guild I had been in since 1998 in EQ1 moved over to EQ2.
I've dabbled in more MMO's then I can count (DAOC, Asherons Call 1 and 2, GW 1 and 2, rift, Conan, AO, UO...too many!)
I am tentatively playing ESO. Just got the game a few weeks back. SO wants me to play. so I will for a bit.

On the Xbox360, all I have are Zumba, Pinball Hall of Fame, Assassins Creed III and of course Skyrim.

And while waiting for HITs?? www.jigsawplanet.com

I shared this link with a coworker who shared it with his wife, she said its like crack. HEHEH!

EDIT: I don't know how I could forget....I have played the last 2 seasons through on D3. Started the current one, and got interrupted by ESO.

EDIT AGAIN!

Board Games/ Life, Quelf, Sequence
Card Games/ Uno, Phase 10, Spades, Exploding Kittens, CAH, Mille Bornes

I LOVE Mille Bornes, but every time I describe it to people, no one seems to know what I'm talking about.

 I looked it up because it sounded familiar, and I always thought the name of that game was Coup Fourre. I used to play a lot with my grandparents.

I played it with my mom a lot. I was little, and I thought it was called "mile bones", so whenever I would try looking it up, I couldn't find any results. Wasn't until a few years ago that I looked up "road trip car game with flat tire cards" or something that I found out it was Mille Borne.
