TQueen @TQueen Jaded @Jaded electrolyte @electrolyte

I want to get a fitbit... but there's a lot of them.

Recommendations?
I like my chargehr because I like the heart rate monitor, it took a little getting used to for me though because I have to wear it a little higher than I would like because of the heart rate thing.

If you don't care or need to know about the heart rate stuff flex would be good. I want the Alta to, tbh, but I can't justify spending that when this one works. >.>

We could totally do something like that too. We could set up something that would make us accountable for maybe steps/food logs? I'm out for weight loss as well.
I would be interested in this! I am starting an online fitness program tomorrow. And I don't know if I will keep it up.

I got the Alta because it felt like it wasn't too much more for the flex if I was going all in for it. I like the display and it's small and comfy. Then I saw the Blaze. I wish I could afford it.

Those of us who have fitbits have added each other and been doing the daily showdown and stuff for now until I/we figure out what we're doing for betting/prizes if you wanna add us :D

Can you add groups to fitbit? I feel like an old lady. I joined the MFP group. I need to get back at it with tracking.

I added Jaded. But that's the only profile I saw. So fitbit work challenges?

If anyone else wants to add me, I'm on Jaded's. My name is Kate and I'm the one with the sideways picture because nothing I do rights it.

Okay, I've been going over this in my head for the past couple days and something that sticks out to me is that an overall winner, just most steps or whatever, might not be all that encouraging if someone is a lot more active than you can be. What if we did the bet type thing where we all contributed and then everyone that met their (reasonable) goals in the work week challenges (on fitbit) would split 1/2 of the pot. The other 1/2 could still go to an overall winner in each respective category.

Does that make any sense? I want it to be fun and something people want to continue doing and it seems like that would be a good way to do it.

I like this idea! That way it's motivating even if you're not the overall winner. I know I wouldn't get nearly as many steps in if I were sitting at a desk all day, or if my dog would only poop in our backyard instead of needing to be walked 3-4x per day.

https://www.stepbet.com/faq/ So apparently this is a thing?

I know a couple didn't wanna do it based on weightloss, but there's a step one :o

Just got an email on it, I haven't read everything so there might be a catch or something.
