I'm finally done. I feel like I should just stop looking. Other survey sites are filled with screeners and long surveys for little pay.

Other crowd sourcing sites want you to work for a dollar an hour.

Places like upwork are hard to make good money without top notch professional skills.

I've scoured the internet for the past 2 years looking for something remotely close to mturk.

I've talked to a bunch of you through PM and asked what else you did online.

There is nothing else. The ONLY sites that com close are appen (as well as lionsbridge and a few other sites like it) but those are project based and when the project is up, you never know when you will get another one.

there is also usertesting.com (and other usibility sites). These sites pay well, but there isn't enough work to do. These sites suppliment my mturk income.

There is only Mturk. Mturk is the only online site where you can make consistent money.

1.) make a site basically the same as Mturk with lower requester fee's
2.) advertise
3.) ??
4.) profit (maybe?)
yes or make another survey platform like survey monkey, or turkprime, quadratics, and make the requester pay us for using our survey software rather than monitor other peoples accounts. I went to school for industrial distribution there's only a few schools in the country with the stupid degree.
I studied CRM's Saas WMS softwares (love whiteplanes) repairclinic uses that. Studied oracle and epicore activant, infor all that fun stuff
I think it would be more lucrative to make survey software. Then, market ourselves to an already existing active market. It would be a smaller project. Then we would have to market that software do seo optimization crap, google key words back links affiliate websites bla bla bla
Look up a basic GMROI calculation Gross margin return on investment calculation and then PM me.

and if it was all a joke then hahahahahaha great!!!

Mturk is in that sweet spot where it's both well paid AND accessible.

There are a ton of work sites where you can join up and start earning right away without any kind of special qualifications, but the pay is pretty shit. Either you aren't making a good hourly rate, or the work volume is really low.

There are a lot of sites where you can make really good money, but they require special skill sets, equipment, or training.

Unless you can get a legitimate Work From Home position within a company- there are a lot of them available, some require training, some don't- then Mturk is going to be your best bet at a steady paycheck.

My current mix
Mturk
Pinecone Research
UserTesting
ProductTube
Prolific Academic

And then I'm signed up with some colleges to get notifications whenever they have studies up that I can do. But Mturk is the only one of those with consistent work. I get 1-2 surveys per week from Pinecone, which is an extra...6 bucks. That's nothing. ProductTube has 1-2 projects per month, at 10-25 dollars a pop. So yeah, maybe I make 50 bucks from them. Prolific Academic is good for 2-3 bucks a day. I get one online study from a major university every month or so, and the pay ranges from 10 bucks up to 50, depending on how narrow the focus is. So my supplemental income in a given month, from 5 different venues, is still less than I can make on Mturk in a week. It's nice to have, but it's not much. Also, thedre's a longer turn around time on getting paid. Pinecone takes a day or two to process payment, then you have to transfer to PayPal. ProductTube pays exclusively in Amazon Gift Cards. Prolific Academic charges a fee to cash out less than 25 bucks, and you still have to transfer to PayPal.
