bella ciao
how times have changed. neon lights have given away to LEDs. green and blue screens are being replaced with LED lights which are seriously changing TV and movie making and viewing. but one thing hasn't changed. life ... and ... death go on.

In honor of Memorial Day ...

I returned this. If you try it, you'll see why. On the HIT page it says it's for US. I don't see how. They need to explain who they really want in this HIT. You're on your own with this.

gm good people just here for a few hours, friend has the opening of his brand new 4100 sq ft home today. Lets all wish him luck with the taxes and utilties
more like good luck making the house payments when the bubble breaks. of course, if he built it he's going to pay for it anyway.

He locked in 2020 for around 3% lucky him, builders gave him a 9 month completion date but took 2 years
that's good, I think. I have friends who purchased a "gentrified" house over a year ago. in columbus, Oh, around 450,000 in a "gentrifying" neighborhood trying to be up and coming. the neighborhood is surrounded by nothing at all spectacular. i cringe at every time i think of them making a house payment and wonder what's it will be like when the bubble breaks and the home severely loses value. but then, when i came of house buying age, interest rates were 13% at times. but houses weren't as expensive. we did get one in the 90s at below 8 % interest and thought that was a bargain. but i do understand that if one builds it from ground up, one has to bear a lot of extra costs.

Back from home depot. Had to buy some netting (remember those edible hostas that I wouldn't eat? Someone sure is. Crew cuts! Every day a new hosta-attacked)

and I'm finally painting my living room. The woman who owned the house before me, painted it.....

(you'll never guess).

Brown. I have brown walls. Happy Memorial Day (especially to those that served!)

It's a posh community his monthly HOA is $650 , i just lol at expenses like that. No way in hell am i gonna pay a $5000 mortgage on top of a $650 HOA. i do feel sorry for people buying homes now though and even more sorry for my kids in the future. I'd like to think a house will be a generational thing now where it would be passed down from one gen to the next.

yes, that would be the way to go. but the you know what doesn't like that and if the kids decide to put mom and pop in nursing home that SS and savings won't cover, well, there goes the home. it scares me to think of young folks buying houses today. if only they could/would wait a bit, pay rent and hopefully be able to save more toward the home. or buy the land if price is right - yeah, good luck with that one. and wait till the costs come down to build. there are things worse than renting. but that's me. lived and learned.
