But was in the middle of the night, so what else could I be doin? 'Sides reading and eating ice cream. Took my time(a bunch of that) and muddled through it.....have done other pearsonlab HITs and not died.''Age - 55 or older''. This might be elder abuse.

Somehow I pulled my monitor cord out of my computer. (Moving a chair or something - idk)

I have spent an hour trying to get it back in w/o breaking anything and it won't go.

On my old, slow, laptop. :banghead:

Could be one of the pins in the cable got bent when it was pulled out. Maybe try another cable if you got one laying around to make sure the port on the monitor itself didn't get damaged? If the port on the monitor itself got damaged, hopefully there's another port on the monitor to use instead.

Edit: grammar

I can't find another port. The pins look okay? I'm not sure. I need more coffee to figure this out.

:(

Hmm... most monitors usually have at least 2 ports (usually an HDMI plus an VGA or DisplayPort), but I've had a damaged port (DisplayPort) happen to me once and had to use an HDMI port instead. If the computer model is known, there should be a manual online somewhere that would include the type/amount of ports and where they are located.
