Increasing earnings on mturk

hello all, I'm new on mturk..and I have a total of 789 approved hits and my total rejected hits is 23. Can the number of my rejected hits affect my ability to earn higher in the future even though my overall approval rating gets to 99percent? Also, I'm still struggling at 96percent approval rating and I noticed I don't get higher paying rates and my overall earnings per day is decreasing, what can advice can you guys help me with that will help me start earning higher? What tactics are you using to earn higher?

A big thing is to use something like turkerview (https://turkerview.com/) before you do hits, because you need to avoid rejections the best you can, especially at the beginning of your turk career. 96% will affect your ability to earn more. You'll need to find batches of safe work to do. Those batches are hard to fight now though.

Right now it is best to play it safe and do safe batches that might not make a lot of money but will get your approval rating up.

thank you very much. So do you suggest I start all over again or I try to boost my approval rating.... I'm much concerned of my 23rejected hits, do you think it might affect me later on?

I am not sure that there is a start over again on Mturk so you need to boost your approval rating. At 96% you want to really watch them and not have it drop any lower. If you are too low you do risk losing your account. Like Savvy said you need to find a safe requester to work on and get your numbers up. Not sure what is out there to work on for new workers but if you can boost your numbers and get to 1000 hits completed this may open up more hits for you and then as your numbers grow more will open. I think 5000 is the next level. Yes those rejects will affect the work that is open to you. Some requesters will set limits on their hits, especially the higher paying hits, of needing to have a 99% approval rating, etc. It is hard to start out on turk and most people struggle to get started and build it to get to the higher levels and it can take time to get there. There is some good information and advice to new workers out there and a good idea is to do some research and read, learn all that you can about getting started and scripts that are available to help you get started.
