Recall a time....recall a time...recall a time(you've been warned).
We had a Maine Coon cat some years ago. She arrived in a tree--no one ever saw her climb it. My dad was sitting on the patio reading a book and pointed her out to all. No one saw her leave the tree, but two days later, there she was in my dad's lap. She was a long haired calico, with hair sticking out the top of her ears. Like a Great Horned owl. And a white ruff of fur on her chest, like a lion. Her feet were huge, also with fur sticking up between her toes. Because she had an explosion of orange fur on the top of her head, Mom immediately named her Strayhorn after a carrot topped Col. she had during the war. Strayhorn(ours, not the Col.) was a very mild tempered cat. She got along with all--except that snake in the backyard.... But that's another recall a time.
