It's definitely slower than mTurk. I mainly use it to minimize downtime when mTurk is struggling.

The number of HITs one might get from Prolific varies a lot due to varying demographics. And, some days 1/3 or 1/5 of my income comes from P, other days, almost nothing. Hang in there.

It can be easy to miss some of the good stuff sometimes because they'll go kinda fast. I'm not sure if you're using this already or not, but it may help to alert you when new surveys post.
