Let's suppose you've been given a hit and you're compensated for points scored. There is a limit but the limit is a fairly significant amount given the normal work on Mturk. For whatever reason it hangs up and stars awarding you points at a rate you can't possibly get by doing the hit. Do you A) Max that bitch out? B) Stop it if you have a way C) Stop it AND contact the requester telling them of the error. D) Other- Fill in your own option.

Stop and contact the requester about it. As this is a workplace and most of us depend on this platform to pay bills and feed ourselves and stuff, it's more beneficial to us to make sure requesters have a good experience here, so they'll stick around and hopefully continue to post more work for us. If there's an error in a HIT like that and people exploit it, that requester may never come back.

And also the HIT will probably be rejected anyway. If you're lucky, that's all that will happen to you. The requester could block you and Amazon could do a lot worse if they think you're up to no good.
