Reminds me of an old sci-fi story where an alien invasion of Earth was stopped because the aliens kidnapped someone to interrogate for intel and he fooled their lie detector machine by rationalizing things like "I can move through space with the power of my mind" because his mind does in fact direct his body. They even asked him why he didn't do so to escape and he said he didn't want to be rude. The machine kept confirming his rationalizations and he got them so flustered they gave up.

I'm having the same issue. I thought opening it in it's own window would fix it because maybe it's a Chrome thing, but no luck with that.

So I deleted Hit finder and cleared my cache on Chrome and then reinstalled it. Fixed the issue.
