There was no death of family or friend, and no one contracted cancer or the like, but the worst four weeks of my life began thirty days ago with the computer error code, "CPU fan has failed." (That put me out of work till just now.)

On the same day, my cell phone crapped out on me.

Soon after that I suffered a mini-stroke (a TIA: Transient Ischemic Attack ). That was ... scary. I woke up at five in the morning and had no control over my left arm or hand. I decided the best thing to do was get some more sleep and see if things got better upon waking, so I slept for five more hours. Woke up and my arm and hand were better, but I still called 911, the result of which was a two-and-a-half-day stay at Eisenhower hospital: the food was ... fair. (But I give kudos to their kitchen, who would call me and ask for my food preferences.) But it was nice watcing some TV (which I do not have here at home): six-hundred- pound people?!?!

Then, shortly after arriving home, my left hip went bad: very painful; sometimes excruciating And I have trouble walking.

All in all, a suck-ass month.

:) Good to be back!
