I'm glad things aren't too bad! My parents had about a foot of snow at their place (east of Seattle) and the icicles look ridiculous from all the wind. From the sounds of it people overreacted a bit in preparation, but it is extreme by Seattle standards!
I think that's honestly been the worst of it. Housemates and landlord are tense, the neighborhood is tense, the news has been full of doom. So many things have been and keep getting shut down/canceled/delayed (including garbage pickup, which ugh/ew)
So I keep finding myself wanting to freak the f out, when objectively the amount of snow is towards the lower end of normal for wintertime anywhere where it actually snows regularly. (And yeah, like you say, areas surrounding Seattle are actually getting a lot more than we are in the city proper.) It's doing my head in a bit.
But yeah, depending on who you ask it's the worst snow in Seattle either 30 or 70 years; 30 is still long enough for it to be outside a lot of people's memory, so.
The last weather forecast I saw for north Seattle was actually kind of encouraging; it's still snowing right now but it's not really accumulating, and it may or may not stick tonight. Hopefully by Thursday the temperature will start edging up enough that it'll start to melt, and we can start putting this madness behind us.

Holy poop I caught a Prolific survey. (clutches chest)

So also I wanna say, why do some surveys always ask impossible questions that are not attention checks? Like rate this photo as to whether you think this person uses Crest or Colgate. Does this restaurant know Hapkido? Does this orange tree elicit strong feelings of bonding?

I guess people who write surveys get bored, too.
Prolific: they eMail you, or you just go over and there it was, or did Prolific Assistant alert you?

All i've done is surveys over the weekend. All i want today is at least ONE nice juicy batch.
you can do those utility filing batch. Easy to do if the file is searchable, hell if it is a PDF made up of images or scans that search doesn't work.

Uhhh .............. political history can also be very interesting (I read a lot about how the Constitution came about); or an autobiography of any of the Presidents; or history about a "serious" time (like the Berlin airlift, or WWI. Or the history nude painting. :)

I am currently reading Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail, does this count as Political History? (I'm half kidding, it's not really a history book at all)

edit: and literally a moment after writing this, I read a section of it that had me clutching my pearls, which is hard to do! Racy stuff!
