Ok break time. I am flushed and angry right now. Grabbed a survey sounded interesting, not bad pay, requester had good reviews tho this HIT didn't have any. I noted the timer was 45 min but given the payment it should have been about 20-25 min so easy enough. WRONG! I It kept giving different topics and then wanted you to think about your answer and wouldnt let you continue for a full minute before you got to write about it. Then answer a couple of question and another topic. Wait a minute. Write, answer and on and on and on. At the 43 min mark I was like ok this has to be the last one. Click the arrow and here is another thing to think about..... I had to return it. So much for their take your time when writing these, there are no time limits. I peeeeeeeeved. I want to use many other choice words, but I am being polite lol
It is certainly frustrating to get stuck on an endless, underpaid survey. However, if I've passed the point of no return on a long survey and the timer is running out, I do not hesitate to submit with my Worker ID in the completion code box of the HIT, finish the survey, and promptly email the requester with the completion code. I personally feel that if I've already spent so much time on a survey, then at the least I'm going to get my pay for it, and I'm not going to let an expiring HIT timer take that away from me.

Some people on here will say they do that too and occasionally get a rejection, but I've submitted my worker ID in the HIT, followed by a polite message to the requester with the completion code and an explanation that the HIT timer was about to expire after I'd invested so much time, at least 500 times without a single rejection.

Hi,

I think I told someone over email we would release a batch this weekend, but we will be postponing it as we work out some things on our end. Sorry for the delay and change of plans. I was traveling last week and out today so I couldn't respond immediately today. I definitely did not intend to mislead anyone about when we will be posting batches.

When we post the next batch, I am going to send a notification to everyone with at least an hour's notice. However, our team still needs to work out when the batches will resume, so I can't say with certainty when that will be.

ETA, I understand everyone would appreciate an exact schedule from us, but even I don't know what our schedule will be in the future, so I really can't promise anything concrete! It all depends on other things we are getting done in the meanwhile. Apologies again.
No worries, wasn't meant as a complaint. An exact schedule has its ups and downs as well.

No need to apologize, and thank you for all the great HITs last weekend!

We'll keep an eye out, be assured.

I debated on doing this, and I should have to be honest. I think I was just too pissed about it. My mind is blurring as well, but it could have also been the hit that flat out said they would not accept mTurk ids as a code. However, of course, if I was able to message with the completion code that may have negated it?? Will never know. But in the future with that much time invested I think will give it a try instead. Hopefully it doesn't happen any time soon though. Thank you for the comment =)

I've submitted my worker ID on countless surveys that have specifically said they would not accept worker IDs. I've never had any problems as long as I send a message with the completion code. Anyway, most survey platforms (ie Qualtrics) allows requesters to readily verify whether or not a worker did complete the survey.

Really, what they don't want is for workers to accept a HIT, immediately submit the HIT with the worker ID in the completion code box, and then neglect (or forget) to actually complete the survey.

Wow. I've tried that twice and both were rejected.

logistics for online shopping survey did not have a code at the end. I immediately contacted the requester right away to let him know and we'll see how things work out.

Amazon is offering a 1 week trial of Prime for $1.99 when you check out and owe shipping. Interesting.

not surprised. I think I saw Prime subscriptions slumping in the U.S. so I think they might be trying to find ways to get people to try or re-experience Prime again.

Other than 2 day shipping and occasional songs available to me for free, I don't know why I have it. I wish there were tons of videos that were free to stream instead of most of them being pay per episode or pay per season to stream.

PE $52, and I don't want to even touch the $20 HIT in the queue. I'm sure it's worth it hourly, but it's almost 9pm and there are much better things to do...like 3 cent Ben Petersons that don't require thinking.

They do it frequently. I don't do much online shopping anymore and I use that offer whenever I'm ordering something that I need Prime delivery on. I've done it at least 6 times in the last 8 months and keep expecting it not to be offered again but it shows up everytime.

Title: 35-min survey about emotions
Requester Name: Emotions Lab
Requester I:eek:
Group I:eek: 3E9LIZY4D3KM2QHFLA5FOKA8C2Z6OY
Pay: 5.00
Duration: 2 hours 00 minutes

Unpaid short screener. They leave out a VERY IMPORTANT DETAIL about the screener from the front page, but a lot of you will probably qualify.

I have to throw it back, will give it 5 minutes or so and then do so, unleash the pandas!

If it's the one I have you can do it in the morning. :)
