i dont think the xfl will be a giant success, but i think it’ll be a lot better than the last go around (which would be near impossble not to be). make the game more serious, make it credible... thats all they need to do

seperate it from most of the gimmicks (for the most part). thats the best method for them

i think they’ll eventually let up on their “no criminals” rule. guys like Manziel, etc would give them more ratings

i like the concept of the XFL because it gives some guys more game tape to show they can play in the NFL and compete

i think as long as you don’t take it too serious or put too high expectations on it... the XFL will be a nice cushion for people who just want to watch a little football to hold them over to the next NFL season

Going to office parties is so two thousand and late.

Office parties are worse than Burger King.
I try to play nice. I won some nice candles last year playing games.

Then the next week our little park family does a potluck and we actually enjoy ourselves, and we invite some retired and other folk that have moved on to other jobs but we still like.

tonight I am going to a military christmas party, so that'll be interesting. good food so whatevs.

that's pretty sexist.....do the players all have to be men?
I just assumed they were. That's why I pulled those stats. I suppose your right. WWE isn't full of misogyny. Why would I assume XFL would be the same.:p

30% of all people in the US have been arrested by the age of 23.

Good luck finding any players. They'll be recruiting at a mega church near you.

"...by age 18, 30% of black men, 26% of Hispanic men and 22% of white men have been arrested. By 23, those numbers climb to 49% for black men, 44% for Hispanic men and 38% for white men."
It will be interesting to see how high school chess players adapt to football....
I'm 100% fine with less skilled players if it means an alternative to what the NFL has become.

Nah WWE jumped aboard the woke bandwagon some time ago.

Manziel has been on national television in the US several times this year. (CFL on ESPN)

How were the ratings for those? Spoiler: Non-existent, and you didnt even know he was playing on TV in the US.

Pop quiz: Do you think the XFL will score a TV distribution deal better than ESPN?

Spoiler 2: They'll be lucky to leverage their WWE contacts and MAYBE get a deal on FS2 for a game or two a week. Rest will be streaming or on some network that nobody knows or cares about.

XFL will only work if they scale it back. No reason to play in empty 70,000 seat stadiums.

Put teams in Omaha, Birmingham -- MINOR LEAGUE MARKETS FOR A MINOR LEAGUE. Nobody in a big league market will take a minor league team seriously. And they've admitted they're a minor league and are trying to become a feeder for the NFL.

So why play in the same stadium as the Giants and Seahawks and Bucs?

It's stupid.

The CFL has more skilled players than the XFL or AAF will have, including several former NFL and American collegiate stars, is televised nationally in the US, and nobody cares.

I'd love to see one of these leagues work, but they are already in over their heads.

I love going to my husband's company party.
They give away so much money and awesome gifts.
Oil field companies are loaded and his old one was great about giving to the employees. :(

as empty as NFL stadiums have been this year...they may have a good chance right now....but I can't see it lasting more than 5 years....

Yea but that's Canada.
Hard to get an American to root for another nation's team.
Also 110 yards? Well now I've stopped caring about your product.

We shall see. I just feel the door is wide open for the XFL.
I don't think they are going to be amazingly successful and put the NFL out of business in 2 years......but I think they will be a lot more successful than their last run.

xfl was on NBC last go around. they may be a minor league but they’re backed by a very wealthy person. i doubt they play on NBC this go around. maybe ESPN or FS1/FS2

and I still disagree that some people in these big markets wont take these teams seriously. i agree with you about not playing in NFL stadiums. just the optics of that will look bad out the gate, but fans in these cities may gravitate towards these teams since its in the NFL offseason

maybe Giants fans will still be fed up with the Giants and support the XFL team a little. maybe some as a sarcastic joke but also some who desperately want to cheer for winning football. even if it is in the XFL

I hope you're right. But, I can't help but feel like it's spoiled milk that someone is trying to put back in the fridge. I'm not a huge fan of football or wrestling. Was hoping the mashup would be better than it was. (Was hoping for a Rugby sort of intensity)
