Kiddo just got the last bits of his braces off. He has a "permanent" retainer cemented behind the front teeth on the bottom and translucent, removable retainers. you literally CANNOT see that he's wearing a retainer. I told him to make sure he didn't set it on the counter next to my coffee pot, where he always used to set his rubber bands when he took them out to eat breakfast, as I won't see that thing in the morning and break it, I'm sure. it is practically invisible, lol.

His ortho gave him a bag full of goodies...all the things they were told not to eat with braces on. Starburst. Corn Nuts, Snickers bar, gum, popcorn, etc. I loved that! What a cool thing to give your patients who gave up so much for gorgeous teeth!

I just asked the kid if he wants popcorn for dinner, lol.
