yep. I ended up leaving all the autism groups I was in. The upside is I realized I'm much higher functioning than I thought.

Oh God, I learned never to use functioning labels or person first language. I'm trying to learn and navigate. I'm fairly new to this. My son was diagnosed a year and a half ago. It has been very helpful to interact with autistic adults, though, as most of the organizations focus on kids and "curing" them. But sometimes it's exhausting trying to keep everything straight so as not to offend anyone, anywhere, ever.

Speaking of, I made cornbread in a cast iron skillet a few weeks ago and pork loin in the crock pot. Shredded it up and threw it on top of the corn bread. Highly recommend. I keep meaning to learn to make tamales. This was the next best thing. And cornbread's sweeter.

I've lost so many hours of my life on Reddit. I think it's magical. Somehow I avoid all the drama that apparently goes down.

I find that if you stick to mostly small and niche subreddits you can avoid most of the thinly veiled white supremacism and absolutely hate of women.
