San Jose an expensive neighborhood??
It's actually one of the more reasonable/average priced areas in the bay area (it gets out of control when you get to places like Palo Alto, Los Altos, and obviously SF). Still pretty outrageous compared to the rest of the country but I just love the area, I could wake up early, go surfing, then be in the snow for skiing the same night.

Oh, awesome! I'm a San Jose native. And yeah, the bay area definitely isn't a good place for seasons. The summers here just seem to get longer and longer, with every passing year. It's one of the main reasons why I'd like to move out of the area. I don't do well in warm weather. >.<

Also, I'm 34, btw
Alright! I'm 39, so 5 years. back when I lived in the area, I canremember sitting wrapped in a comforter on several 4th of July nights. I went to San Jose once, when U2 was playing there. Nice town. The rolling green hills (and cows) reminded me of home. I wanted to explore as much of CA as I could when I lived there so I think I visited most of the worthwhile places at least once (except LA, drove through several times and traffic was a major turn off.

For us in the bay area, LA is such a foreign and far away place it may as well be in its own state.

A surprisingly large chunk of the forum is from California. We really should have a pie and punch party at some point.
I'm up for the pie but I don't know about having punch with a large group of people. I was in a cult and I just had a really bad experience with it.

That's what we loved most about it. 2 hours from the mountains/Lake Tahoe or the beach. Perfection.

No I mean we should all eat pie and then punch the shit out of each other, like as a bonding exercise.
I'd be cool with that as long as we all agree to wait at least 30 min after eating before we start punching the shit out of each other. Wouldn't want to get cramps.

So what are you all working on right now? I am desperate to give my eyes a rest from these Kryptons. Its nice that the daily cap was raised to 50, but I wish the pay rate was slightly better. Either way, can't just leave an extra $22.50 each day on the table (or server? whatever HITs are stored on/in).
