Haha. I should have clarified that I'm looking for a new apartment. I assume everyone knows all about everything in my life because I'm so incredibly interesting.

yeah, cats can do massive damage. But dogs do way worse damage in my experience, and more places allow dogs than cats.

Sometimes you can talk a landlord into allowing a cat if you bring references from where you cat has stayed and offer a decent deposit for the cat. And if you show them you have renter's insurance with pet liability.

IIRC, you do need to find a new place. Some janky things were going on with your current!

You are sooooooo correct. I could show you pictures. If it wasn't so 2005, I would totally do a blog of all the scary shit I've seen in vacated rentals.

One time I had to sort through piles and piles of stinky stuff knowing they had left a bunny behind, and I kept fearing a terrified rabbit jumping out at me. But I wanted to rescue it.

Another time, a ginormous snake was left behind. One of the constricty types. We called a pet shop that specialized in such creatures and they happily came and rescued it. City animal control took one look at it and noped right out of helping us.

LOL, was a nickname my grandma gave me when I was just a little tyke, she would ask what I wanted to eat and I always replied Catfish. I'm Cajun so she started calling me "Mashwarohn", rest is history
