    From the blog: https://blog.mturk.com/weve-made-it...rs-to-use-amazon-mechanical-turk-6a499814ac46

Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is pleased to announce support for Requesters in additional countries. In October, we introduced support for Requesters in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Today, we’re enabling registration for MTurk in three more countries. Now more Requesters can have their problems solved using our on-demand crowdsourcing platform providing opportunities for Workers to earn rewards.

Starting today, Requesters from these countries can sign up and use MTurk:
    • United States
    • Australia
    • Canada
    • France
    • Germany
    • Netherlands
    • United Kingdom

Now the hurdle will be informing potential requesters in these countries that they can use MTurk!

Probably primarily word of mouth, at least for academic requesters.
