As a new homeowner I am finding out first hand how intrusive family can be.
My "aunt" Kathy (not really my aunt I don't think) wants to come over with her dogs. Well, I have a cat with a special needs stomach who is already getting sick from a feline herpes stress breakout. I don't want her dogs even in my yard because the homes on both sides of me have dogs...and I can just imagine the barking that will break out, only to further upset my cat, who I am trying to get to feeling better among the chaos of settling into the new home.

Darn it... my husband just got invited to speak at another conference in the UK in October so my options are
1: wean the baby early and leave her with my mom (nope)
2: take an 11 month old on an 8 hour international flight (nope)
3: stay at home with the kids, languishing in envy
