I am talking about the same script, Panda Crazy. It's been able to use the worker.mturk.com ever since April of this year. I updated it in August to make sure it works with redirects and actually runs on worker.mturk.com with another url. Once you push the collect button it will constantly go to the panda url which it will accept or hit or not find one. Doesn't matter if it gets redirected because it's only looking for accepted hits. If it didn't get a hit it goes to the next hit that you have collecting. The Queue helper works with Panda Crazy to help with your hits in the queue. That script needs to know if it gets redirected or not.

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question since I don't see anyone else asking about it, but was there something in the recent Firefox update that might have broken this script for me?

I've used this script for a year and never had an issue, but now I can't get it to open the page. I've tried reinstalling greasemonkey and the script, and it still just opens a normal mturk page. It is working on chrome, but I'd really prefer firefox.

Greasemonkey will not work with the new firefox. To run scripts in the new firefox, you need to use Tampermonkey.

Ok posting this tonight in the hopes that perhaps by tomorrow someone will be able to help me. PC was working earlier today and now it isn't. I have reinstalled it and tried both URLs. I tried to take screenshots of what it looks like but I'm having trouble uploading them. On the new URL, it's a page that is as if i searched for "pandacrazy=on" and the old URL it's the "introduction" page under the "Your account" tab.

I'm running in chrome. Any suggestions for next steps in troubleshooting?

Yep. It's bookmarked in my browser so I know it isn't typed in wrong. I also tried using https://worker.mturk.com/?filters[search_term]=pandacrazy=on and neither one works.

It is different, but it also still isn't working. I can try to figure it out tomorrow I guess.

I'm sorry. Other than double checking tamper monkey to make sure it's on, perhaps clearing cookies and restarting chrome, I don't know atm what else to try. I wonder if any other @Mentor members know of anything?

Try turning off all other scripts in tampermonkey and see if it works then. if so start turning them back on one by one to see what is interfering

So, when I restarted my computer, it worked. I guess that should have been my first move, but anyway it's fixed now.

Glad you got it fixed. Usually a restart of the browser can work when something like that happens. The worst case is a restart of the computer. Have no idea why it happens. It's only happened to me twice. Something to do with the memory I guess.

What's the current situation with running pc on the old and new site? Does this theoretically allow for twlce the number of attempted grabs?

If so, how to accomplish this?

Any idea how long the old site will still be running?

The other question I had was any plans to incorporate any kind of more advanced notification system into the script? I would really really love to have a feature where somehow my phone would get pinged when a big job came in.... this would be such a major benefit for me

It says newsite=yes, but it's still an mturk.com address instead of a worker.mturk address.

I was using "Go HAM" and "Delayed Go HAM" a lot today, it was great. But now the "Go Ham" button is greyed out for all jobs. Any obvious reason for this? Thx

Update: restarting script sorted this out no problem

There is nothing that says you can't use both sites at this time. I have been doing this ever since August. Yes using both sites can theoretically give you twice the number of searches. For example let's say you have 10 panda's. Running just off new site you can have the script go through all 10 panda's in 10 seconds. Running off new and old site can go through 10 panda's in 5 seconds. It's important to use different browsers for this because it can mess up the Panda Crazy data or mturk cookies can get into conflicts causing problems. I use Chrome for old site and chrome portable for new site. I believe on Dec 15th they will move everyone over to the new site. Not sure if they will still have the old site available. They did mention to scripters that they will be redirecting people from old site to new site but with a special command it can stop the redirection. PC already has the no redirection command in the url's it uses.

I have thought about this but don't see much use for it. The script is a collector and not a finder so the user should be somewhere around to hear the alarms anyway. That's one reasons I made sure I can use music for alarms so I can hear it when I am cooking. I use a Bluetooth speaker to wake me up for important hits collecting at night. Wifi speakers can be helpful and soundwire app for your phone works over wifi so can alert you even outside. I will think about it once the change over to the new site happens. There is something available that can do a notification to sms but is complicated and limited I believe.

That url will work as long as www.mturk.com is still available. I put that in around April and is in the release notes. There was another url that works off worker.mturk.com site that was added at that time too. People are so used to using the www.mturk.com url that they give the old url to run off the new site but it's better to use the new url.

The worker url is: https://worker.mturk.com/?filters[search_term]=pandacrazy=on

That url works as long as you are logged in. Once you are logged in use that url.

Usually if all Go Ham buttons are greyed then there is one job that has go Ham on that you aren't seeing. The status log on the bottom can help to find out which one is still running. There may be times that it may get stuck especially when creating groupings and if that happens you may need to restart the script but I haven't seen that problem recently. I got some error correcting code in it to check on stucked modes but it can also fail too.
